Australian rural accountants race to Figured Fast Track Partner Program
By Admin

The Figured Fast Track Partner Program launched into Australia in May. We’ve already seen a quick uptake, with increasing numbers of rural accounting practices across the country keen to raise their Partner status on the newly introduced three-tier qualification system.

What is the Figured Fast Track Partner Program?

We’ve introduced a three-tier qualification system based on Figured certification and license adoptions. Having access to financial data is important, but having the understanding to make it meaningful to a farm’s performance is where the real value is. Which is why the Partner Program is designed to ensure that Australian farmers are getting support from experienced advisers who have recognised ag insight combined with Figured product knowledge to best help them make financial decisions that drive the success of their farming business. The Partner Program gives farmers confidence that they’re working with an accountant who is not just great at looking at numbers, but who understands farming, and the benefits of using cloud software to help manage operations.

At the same time, forward-thinking rural accounting practices can bolster their recognition as experts in the farming sector, while receiving support, resources and qualified lead and bank referrals from us. And for us at Figured, it means that we know we’re working with advisers who are just as passionate about growing and supporting profitable agriculture businesses as we are.

A growing rural accountant network It wasn’t long after launch that we welcomed our first Australian Gold Partner, NSW-based Peacocke Accountants in early June - read more about their experience here. We’re excited to be working alongside them, and others, in helping their clients grow profitable farming operations, as well as helping them boost their own rural customer base.

For these early adopter accountants, the partner program means they can strengthen their offering to ag customers.

“We have been working with Figured since it was first released and has been great being part of the journey. Figured has allowed us to produce specialised farming reports in Xero – meaning it is truly single ledger. Being the first Gold Partner in WA is an added bonus,” says Shannon Patterson of WA practice, Rise Solutions.

Gareth Atkins of Synectic Group, the first Gold Partner in Tasmania, agrees, “We work with a lot of farmers and see our Gold partnership with Figured as a great opportunity to further strengthen our offering to the ag sector. By using Figured and Xero in tandem we can now assist our farmers in real time in a way that has previously been time consuming and cumbersome. Our Figured partnership allows us to shift our focus from just looking at the historical numbers to how we can better assist our clients with financial management on a day to day basis.”

Figured GM Australia, James Black, says the speed with which practices are joining the program in Australia is encouraging. “The number of accounting practices taking up the Figured Fast Track Partner Program opportunity is really starting to accelerate which is great for Figured and great for the Australian farmer. We are really pleased to be partnering with such high quality and truly progressive rural accounting practices. Not only are they true experts in their field, they also strive to bring the latest in cloud accounting technology to their rural clients. This for me is what sets them apart from the rest”.
